The 2-hour internal training every induction mentor must complete before being assigned a mentee. Anchored in the Cambridge Mentoring Guide 2020 + ICTL 5881, with PIGP 27/2010 as the statutory backdrop. Charter NN3 requires it; Firestore rules enforce it.
Mentor Certification is observation-of-practice based: the trainer scores a mock conversation in Module 8. Pass / fail; on fail, a 30-minute coached re-attempt is offered same day. Cohort size: 4-8 mentors per session.
The curriculum is deliberately tight at 2 hours. We do not cover subject-specific pedagogy (that's ICTL 5881's job), school operations, or specialised conflict mediation — those would expand the session past honest attendance and dilute the relational craft we are training.
